Three readers sat in that row. Their seats are recorded on their invitations. To identify who hid the programme, count from the correct side; this theatre numbers its seats in a particular way.
What we know for certain
One of these people put the programme beneath their own seat. Nobody changed places or occupied another person’s seat. The row has exactly five seats and none lies outside the image. The invitations and recording are reliable.

01The numbering
In this row the numbers are 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9, in that order from the left of the image to the right. The count does not restart halfway along the row.
02The recorded seat
The programme is placed beneath the second seat counting from the right-hand end of the image.
03The invitations
Helena is assigned seat 3; Isaac seat 5; Júlia seat 7. The organisers checked all three tickets at the start.
04The complete image
The camera does not mirror or rotate the image. Both ends of the row remain visible throughout the movement.
05No changes of place
From the ticket check to the end, each reader remained in their assigned place. The other two seats were empty.
