Every detail counts.
Three different mysteries every day. Pick your difficulty and solve each case using its own clues, with no timer.
Scoring
You start with the maximum for your difficulty. Opening the five clues is free. Each hint costs 10% of the maximum; each incorrect guess costs 25%. Your score is fixed when you solve the case and never drops below zero. Revealing the solution ends the case with zero points and no win.
For example: a medium case solved after one hint and one mistake earns 200 − 20 − 50 = 130 points. Solve all three difficulties to earn up to 600 points a day.
Your daily streak
Your streak grows when you solve at least one of the three cases on its publication date. Hints and incorrect guesses do not prevent a later win. Missing a whole day breaks the streak. A new day starts at midnight, Madrid time.
The archive and practice points
With an account, you can play any published case. Solving it after its publication date earns practice points: they are saved, but do not rebuild past streaks or count towards the daily leaderboard. There is no reading time limit; finishing after midnight makes the case a practice game.
Your friends’ league
Find a friend by their exact username and send an invitation. Once accepted, you can compare scores and streaks. The weekly leaderboard starts on Monday; the all-time leaderboard counts cases solved on their publication date. Tied scores share a rank. Speed is not a tie-breaker.
One account, all your results
Register with an email address, password and unique username. You can then sign in with your email or username. Verify your email to add friends. Creating an account in the same browser keeps your guest games; signing in to an existing account restores that account’s results.
Your detective profile
Choose a badge and follow your achievements in your private profile. Solved cases, including archive practice, count towards the first-case, hard-case and no-hint achievements. Perfect cases require one correct guess and no extra hints. A streak requires solving on consecutive publication dates; the daily trio requires all three levels of one edition on its publication date.
Friend challenges
With a verified account, choose an accepted friend and a published case neither of you has finished. Your friend must accept before the challenge begins. The result comparison appears only when both have finished, without guesses or solutions. Normal scoring applies, with no extra leaderboard points and no speed tiebreaker. If either finishes before acceptance, the invitation becomes unavailable.
Find and save cases
The archive lets you search titles and descriptions across published dates, and filter by theme and difficulty. Sign in to see pending, started, solved, finished and favourite cases. Favourites are private and do not change scores.
After finishing a case
You can compare aggregate results once at least 10 games have finished since this feature was introduced. Percentages include games ended by revealing the solution; average hints uses the same sample. No individual results are published. With a profile, you can rate the case and its difficulty, or send a private note about a confusing clue. You can edit your feedback without adding a second rating.
