The scene
Travel Library · Map roomAn expedition map has disappeared. A note identifies the cupboard where it was hidden, but its writer transformed the instructions using a rule from the workshop’s games.
Three staff members each had a cupboard. The foyer forms a small grid: you can draw it to follow the route and work out which key was used.
What we know for certain
One of these people hid the map in their own cupboard, without help or any exchange of keys. The note describes that location and follows the stated transformation exactly. Movement is between adjacent squares and cannot pass through walls.

01The plan
The entrance occupies the centre square of a grid with three rows and three columns. North is up and east is right. Dani has the west square; Elsa the northeast; Ferran the southeast.
02The transformation
To conceal a route, first write its list of steps in reverse order. Then replace each direction with its opposite: north with south and east with west, and vice versa.
03The recovered note
The transformed note reads, in this order: west, west, north, east.
04The starting point
The original route starts in the centre square. Each word advances exactly one square; the plan is not rotated and the meaning of north does not change.
05Use of the cupboards
All three cupboards remained closed except the chosen one. The record confirms that only its owner could open it that day.
