The scene
Market Gallery · Lettering tableThe price of an artwork has been altered on its sign. One of three people printed the new number during their shift. The camera cannot see the paper, but it records the timings.
A reader distinguishes wet ink from dry without touching it. Two checks by the guard narrow down when the printing happened.
What we know for certain
One of these people printed the alteration during their exclusive shift. There was no overprinting, drying equipment or mixing. Under the workshop’s conditions, this ink stays wet for exactly two minutes and is then dry. Times and readings are reliable.
