Poets’ Café · Afternoon readingThe recital notebook disappears before the final reading. In its place is a note with four lines of verse. The person who put it away used the café’s own word game to name the chosen locker.
Three participants each had a private locker. The game’s rules explain how to read the note: you do not need to recognise poems or guess anyone’s intentions.
What we know for certain
One of these people put the notebook in their own locker, without help. The note identifies that locker using the stated rule. Nobody lent out keys or changed the names. The clues are reliable.

01The café’s rule
To hide a word, use only the first letter of each line of verse, reading the lines from top to bottom.
02The four lines
The note reads: ‘Lost far away is the noise / Afternoon rests here / Gently the last leaves turn / One more voice will open the book’.
03The lockers
The register confirms the assignments: Adela has RAMA; Breno, LAGO; Cira, RUTA. No other locker has any of those names.
04The original writing
All four lines of the note are complete and in their original order. It is not a rotated copy, and no words are missing from the beginnings.
05The stored notebook
A camera shows someone closing the notebook inside their own locker. Their face is not visible, but the recording rules out any later move.
