The scene
Neighbourhood Printshop · Test sessionA reserved postcard was printed during one of three private sessions. The small press uses a single-digit counter that advances one position for every print.
The log records the counter before and after the responsible session. The three people printed different quantities, all below ten. Remember that the counter can pass through zero.
What we know for certain
One of these people printed the postcard during their session. Each session produced exactly the stated number of prints. The counter was not manually reset, did not malfunction and advanced once per print. No prints outside that session occurred between the two readings.
