Bruma Studio · Photo sessionThe photographer was about to photograph her grandmother beneath the red umbrella from her wedding. On opening the sleeve, she found a similar red one instead, with a small star sewn onto its edge.
Three assistants had prepared the props separately. The session can still be saved if you discover who swapped the umbrella and whom to ask to return it.
What we know for certain
One of these three people replaced the umbrella with the one from their own batch. Each batch contained one umbrella. They did not exchange batches or accessories. The supplier’s records and the photograph of the recovered umbrella are reliable.

01The recovered object

Max received a red umbrella with a black plastic handle. Its fabric had no decorations.
04Rita’s batch
Rita’s umbrella was red and had a wooden handle, but its sewn decoration was a white moon.
05An unmixed sleeve
The sleeve remained empty until the substitution. Only the complete umbrella shown in the photograph went inside; it did not contain pieces from different batches.
