Three people were preparing mixtures with the same syrup and the same water. The suspect jug is empty, but the measurements recorded before it was served reveal its proportions without tasting other drinks.
What we know for certain
One of these three people prepared the jug following their personal recipe exactly. No liquid was added or removed afterwards, and the volumes add together without change. Only water and syrup were used, with the same syrup concentration for everyone.

01The volume served
The jug contained one full litre of mixture before serving. Here, one litre equals one thousand millilitres.
02The water measurement
The measuring jug used for the water records exactly six hundred millilitres. Its entire contents were poured into the mixture.
03Polina's proportions
One part syrup and four parts water make five parts in total. Her recipe maintains that ratio at every batch size.
04The other recipes
Bernat uses one part syrup and three parts water; Júlia uses two parts syrup and three parts water. Neither rounded the measurements.
05The single mixture
There was no ice, extra juice or liquid already in the bottom. The entire difference between the final thousand millilitres and the measured water is syrup.
