Tea Shop · Preparing a sampleThe shop was preparing one-hundred-gram tea samples. One sealed bag was found to contain only eighty grams, although the person filling it had photographed a reading of one hundred.
The scales automatically subtract the saved tare weight. Each person used an assigned tare setting, and the sample's empty container makes it possible to work out which deduction caused the discrepancy.
What we know for certain
One person prepared the sample using their own fixed tare setting and stopped when the display showed one hundred grams. No tea was removed afterwards. The scales work correctly and display total weight minus tare. The container weighs exactly forty grams.

01The actual tea
A second set of scales, with no tare deduction, weighed the contents separately and showed eighty grams of tea.
02The container
The empty container from that same sample weighed forty grams. There were no papers, stones or other objects inside during preparation.
03The photograph
The original display showed one hundred grams with the complete sample on the scales: tea plus container. The image is genuine and was taken when filling finished.
04The personal tare settings
Dani uses twenty grams, Cinta forty and Leo sixty. Their profiles do not allow that value to be changed during filling.
05The reading formula
The scales subtract the tare from the total weight placed on them. For example, a total weight of one hundred and fifty with a tare of fifty would display one hundred.
