What we know for certain
One of these three people opened the drawer and stole the template using the only key they received. Nobody exchanged keys, forced a lock or used copies. The colours alone do not indicate which drawer opens: only the key chart applies.

01The empty drawer
The template was stored in the drawer marked with a triangle. Its lock remained intact and was opened with a valid key.
02The drawer chart
The red key opens the triangle; the blue opens the circle; the green opens the square. Each key works only in that lock.
03The issue log
Reception confirms the stated colours: green for Raúl, red for Vera and blue for Hugo. The three keys were issued separately.
04The key inventory
There was only one key of each colour. All three were returned, and each remained in its holder's custody throughout the visit.
05The checked template
The teacher checked the contents before issuing the keys. On collecting them, she found only the triangular compartment empty.
