Three people used the copier with different crop profiles. Each profile removed a fixed strip. The preserved original shows which marks would disappear under each setting.
What we know for certain
One of these people deliberately produced the altered copy using their only profile. There was no manual trimming, rotation, enlargement or second pass. The original always entered in the same orientation, and the settings were locked.

01The original marks
The original has a star half a centimetre from the left edge and the signature half a centimetre from the right. The central drawing begins much farther in.
02The copy that was found
Both the star and the signature are missing from the copy. The central drawing is complete and unaltered.
03Eloy's setting
Eloy's profile removes one centimetre from the left margin only. It preserves the entire right margin.
04Fina's setting
Fina's profile removes one centimetre from the right margin only. The left margin stays intact.
05Germán's setting
Germán's profile removes one centimetre from each side margin in the same pass.
